Identity and Territorial Character. Re-Interpreting Local-Spatial Development
Year: 2022
Type: book
Abstract: In times of economic crisis it seems that the territory "does not matter"... or matters less than ever. This argument leaves aside, consciously or not, the possibility of new innovative forms that contribute precisely to the new promotion of development; this time based on cooperation and territorial intelligence both for cohesion and for a better quality of life at local and supra-national, European level. The book brings together a renewed understanding of local (territorial) development; a new model of competitiveness based on specific resources rather than on common and banal resources. The aim of the volume is to reinvent territories and explore the possibilities of vectors such as identity, culture and new territorial governance/governance practices.
