Abstract: The article discusses the development of a combined rail-road transport system using modern technological advances in the delivery of goods through transport systems, as well as the use of container transport systems. Options for improving the quality of transportation by properly organizing the sequence of delivery of goods by containers and taking into account all factors are presented. The advantages and disadvantages of modes of transport are analyzed, and recommendations are made to overcome their shortcomings and make effective use of their advantages. An analysis of the problems posed for the formation of a modern transportation system and the positive results achieved by overcoming them. The cost-effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of container tracking technology are presented. The main parameters, which are economically and mathematically important, are studied and recommendations for the development of a mathematical model are given.
