Abstract: This research aims to analyze the Role of Innovation in Economic Growth.Through the economic literature, we address the evolutionary growth, the impact of innovation on growth in theoretical studies, and the indicators of innovation in the Rwandan economy.The results of the study can be summed up that innovation enhances economic growth according to economic literature and theoretical studies, and that Rwanda, according to innovation indicators, has made a qualitative leap according to international indicators and the ranks that Rwanda occupied during the past years.
