Abstract: The general understanding of today points that the European Union (EU) is in decline due to persistent economical and social "crisis". However, an important issue which is neglected, is the tremendous power that the EU holds to regulate the global market. The EU today provides such regulations and standards on what and how to produce on global market or how to form the management principles that the World take those principles as examples. EU starts to have a word on a new type of power not expressed too much, but began to be salient on global effect race as this being the case. This type of power is called regulatory power and as being a part of soft power, this type has the capacity to define the standards for the whole World in many cases such as competition policy, food safety, environment protection or hate speech on social media. Anu Bradford called this new power form as "Brussels Effect" in this book and supposes that the EU can unilaterally regulate the global markets due to this new power type.
