Abstract: Assessment involves sampling, observing, and evaluating according to criteria. A whole array of techniques is required to consider the wide possible range of human talents. This paper takes an overview of how the teachers in higher education determine the criteria for evaluation. Administrators and policy makers are concerned with assessment and its role in accountability. Teachers are concerned with assessment and its impact on learning. Thus, curriculum and techniques both are important for providing relevant contemporary education. Evolving proper assessment techniques is very crucial for the implementation of National Education Policy 2020.
