Abstract: Prognostic and predictive value of a novel immune-related gene pair signature in prostate cancerTo the editor, Prostate cancer (PCa) is a serious threat to men's health and will still result in biochemical recurrence even after receiving comprehensive treatment. We aim to set up a new model of personalized immune-related gene pairs (IRGPs) for prognostic signatures to work for the management of PCa.We used data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) as the discovery and validation cohorts, respectively.Through univariate analysis, multivariate Cox analysis, and LASSO analysis, we selected 22 genes pairs containing 41 distinct genes to construct an individual prognostic IRGP signature, to predict the prognosis of PCa patients, and then stratify them.We divided PCa patients into low-and high-risk groups according to the risk score calculated by IRGP signature. There were clear divergences in biochemical recurrence-free survival (BCRFS) for the two groups (p < 0.001).In patients in the high-risk group, BCRFS
