Abstract: This paper describes the background and modifications introduced to the Labor Code by Law 21,431, which regulates the contract of workers of digital service platform companies, and seeks to analyze central aspects of the regulation, such as its scope of application, the distinction between employees of digital service platform companies and independent digital platform contractors, characteristics of the contracts of both types of workers and the common rules applicable to both employees of digital platform and independent digital platform contactors.
