Abstract: Our objective was to examine potential racial differences in CRC care timeliness in the Veterans Affairs (VA) health care system. Using a national sample of white and African American men, we examined time from surgery to (1) adjuvant chemotherapy initiation (stages II-III disease); (2) surveillance colonoscopy (stages I-III disease), and (3) death (stages I-III disease). We identified no clinically meaningful racial differences in CRC care timeliness.
