Abstract: Although assessment of hypertensive retinopathy signs has been recommended for determining end-organ damage and stratifying vascular risk in hypertensive persons, its value remains unclear. In this study, we examine whether hypertensive retinopathy predicts the long-term risk of stroke in hypertensives.
