Abstract: temporal gyrus (p<.05 FDR-corrected).Analysing the association between rCBF and subjective effects, higher values in 5D-ASC were associated with increased rCBF in the right inferior frontal gyrus and inferior temporal gyrus (p<0.001).Discussion: Psilocybin decreased gCBF in healthy participants. When correcting for global signal, we found frontal and temporal increase and temporal decrease in rCBF.The hyperfrontal effects align well with previous PET and ASL studies (e.g., [1], [2]).The correlation analyses point to the importance of frontal psilocybin-induced changes in brain activity for subjective effects.Further analyses will investigate the association between baseline and follow-up behavioural measures and blood flow alterations. Conclusion: This study has clinical implications by providing insight into mechanisms of action and pinpointing brain regions associated with subjective psilocybin effects.Additionally, it emphasises the importance to differentiate between gCBF and rCBF for meaningful interpretations of ASL signals.References
