Abstract: Utilizing a critical approach, this article aims to interpret two of the most important concepts of Husserl’s late work: crisis (Krisis) and original foundation (Urstiftung). Special attention is paid to the metaphorological background as well to the unintended implications of Husserl’s use of both concepts.
