Abstract: I describe the new equipment and observations of the major total solar eclipse that passed from Mexico (where we observed it, in Miahuatlán, Oaxaca) on 7 March 1970, to the improved imaging and other capabilities we applied to the recent total solar eclipses of 2 July 2019 (from Chile), and 4 December 2021 (from on and near Antarctica, including airborne observations).
