Abstract: Anoctamin/TMEM16 and SLC12 co-transporter genes selectively function in regulating cold nociception via excitatory chloride currents and can promote neuropathic sensitization phenotypes, including behavioral sensitization and neuronal hyperexcitability in Drosophila multimodal sensory neurons.
