Abstract: The sciences of the Arabic language have varied to increase its richness and breadth.One of these sciences is the science of rhyme.The sciences of the Arabic language have occupied both ancient and modern students.They have presented studies in the sciences of phonology, morphology, grammar, dictionaries, semantics, prosody and rhyme.The current research aims at studying the issues of rhyme of Abu Al-Ala Al-Maari through his book "Absurdity of Al-Walid in Speech on the Poetry of Abu Ubadah Al-Walid Bin Obaid Al-Buhturi".The research attempts to shed light on an important aspect of Abu Al-Ala Al-Maari's literary life.Being famous as the philosopher of Arabic, Al-Maari left a linguistic and literary heritage that is worthy of research and study.His masterpiece is the book "The Absence of Al-Walid", which includes a lot of linguistic, morphological and grammatical provisions as well as prosody and rhyme through studying the Diwan of the great poet Al-Buhturi, who is no less in stature than Abu Al-Ala Al-Maari.
