Abstract: The period in which assumed President Abdul Rahman Aref government watershed events in the history of modern Iraq, the American policy towards the Middle East in general and Iraq in particular, the most significant impact in shaping domestic and foreign policy. This research is trying touch the American policy towards the major issues affecting the Iraq with respect to domestic politics, and the Kurdish issue and the relationship with Iran, and arming the Iraqi army, and the relationship with foreign oil companies, and economic development issues, and the Palestinian cause and the Arab - Zionist Conflict.
