Abstract: Candidate MCT4-targeting ASOs are able to inhibit cell proliferation and MCT4 expression of LNCaP human prostate cancer cells 48 hours after transfection. A) MCT4 ASOs are able to inhibit LNCaP cell proliferation to levels comparable to those observed with other human prostate cancer cell lines. B) The decrease in cell proliferation is associated with a decrease in MCT4 expression. Taken together, the data suggest that the inhibitory effect of MCT4 ASOs may be more associated with a glycolytic phenotype than with androgen receptor status.
