Abstract: E-cadherin knockdown does not affect NSCLC cell lines' sensitivity to PLK1 inhibition. Two epithelial NSCLC cell lines were transfected with siRNA against E-cadherin and then incubated with volasertib 48 hours later. Knockdown of E-cadherin expression did not affect cell-cycle progression (left panels), cell number as measured using an MTT assay (right panels), or apoptosis as measured using a terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) assay (bottom panel).
