Abstract: PDF file - 6545K, Detection of a K57N MEK1 mutation in DNA from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tumor and matched normal tissue from one patient. Multiple reads from tumor-derived DNA (panel on left) show a GC transversion in 21% of reads. This indicates a lysineaspargine mutation in MEK1. No such mutation is detected in germline DNA (panel at right).
