Abstract: CDK1 and genes from an AZD1775 responsiveness gene signature are up-regulated in ESCA, particularly squamous cell carcinoma. (A) Analysis of multiple esophageal cancer mRNA expression datasets (Su Esophagus 2 and Hu Esophagus) in Oncomine (http://oncomine.org/) confirms up-regulation of CDK1 in ESCA tumor versus normal tissues. Box plots were derived from gene expression data in Oncomine database, comparing expression of genes in normal tissue (left plot) and in ESCA tumor tissue (right plot). ESCC= Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Reporter #203213. (B) Analysis of multiple esophageal cancer mRNA expression datasets (Su Esophagus 2 and Hu Esophagus) in Oncomine (http://oncomine.org/) reveals increased expression of five genes potentially important as AZD1775 responsiveness predictors in human ESCA compared to normal tissue. Box plots were derived from Su Esophagus 2 (top panel), and Hu Esophagus (bottom panel) gene expression data in Oncomine database, ESCC= Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
