Abstract: This review provides a detailed survey of the present literature data on β-alkoxyvinyl- and β-enaminocarbonyl compounds as CCC bis-electrophiles in reactions with the common NCN-binucleophiles. The focus is put mostly on the reactions leading to low-molecular-weight and functionalized pyrimidines as the products that are of special interest as building blocks for drug discovery
