Abstract: Supplemental Figure 6 shows a lesion from the face of a 73 year old male was classified as a desmoplastic melanoma, pure type (Breslow thickness at least 1.2 mm, mitotic index 0/mm2, ulceration absent). The score was -2.6 (false negative). Metastases to lymph nodes and lungs were detected 18 months after initial diagnosis.
