Apoptosis = Anx+/PI- (bottom right of each panel); Necrosis= Anx+/PI+ cells (top right of each panel). B, Confocal microscopy using Mitotracker Red followed by anti-AIF antibody (top row), or anti-Cytochrome C antibody (bottom row). The appearance of additional red and green staining in the AAA-treated cells (24h), cytochrome C panel as compared to control, demonstrates Cytochrome C was released from mitochondria in these cells. PAC concentration was 50 nM, for 24h. C, Intracellular reduced glutathione levels in MIA PaCa-2 cells after 4h of AAA treatment.
