Abstract: PDF file - 57K, hTERT promoter reporter (Green Vector) effectively separates mixed populations of cells based on telomerase activity. HEK293 cells (telomerase positive) and WI-38 cells (telomerase negative) were infected separately with "Green Virus", mixed in a 1:1 ratio and sorted based on "high" (R1) or "low" (R2) green fluorescence. Gel-based TRAP analysis was performed on sorted populations. Densitometry analysis demonstrated a 4.2 fold increase in telomerase activity in the High population.
