Sustainable bamboo fiber reinforced polymeric composites for structural applications: A mini review of recent advances and future prospects
Year: 2023
Type: article
Abstract: This article reviews the present status and prospects of sustainable bamboo fiber reinforced polymeric composites (BFRCs). Because of its rapid growth, renewability, and minimal environmental effect, bamboo has emerged as a viable contender in response to the increasing demand for eco-friendly materials across a variety of sectors. Bamboo is going to be a significant lignocellulosic material. Moreover, a summary of the production procedures, mechanical qualities, and uses of bamboo fiber reinforced composites also discussed. The problems and possibilities connected with the development of BFRCs which negatively influence their performance in a variety of industrial applications also addressed further.
