Strategy of the New Industrialization of the Pharmaceutical Industry: National Priorities and New Challenges

Abstract: The article analyzes the strategic priorities of technological modernization of the pharmaceutical industry in the conditions of external constraints. The study showed that with the increasing sanctions pressure on Russia, it is necessary to revise strategic priorities and industrial policy instruments, including the strategy of new industrialization being implemented. The conclusion is made that, despite the decrease in the level of dependence on imports, the industrial policy on import substitution is characterized by fragmentation and it has a catch-up character.
