Cover Feature: Comparison of the Ability of N‐Bases to Engage in Noncovalent Bonds (ChemPhysChem 15/2023)
Year: 2023
Type: article
Abstract: The Cover Feature illustrates the variety of nitrogen bases that can participate in noncovalent bonds of all sorts. These interactions include hydrogen, halogen, chalcogen, and pnicogen bonds. The nitrogen bases diminish in nucleophilicity from linear sp hybridization, to planar sp2, to tetrahedral sp3 arrangements.
