Liquefaction of natural gas and simulated process optimization – A review
Year: 2023
Type: article
Abstract: Within the supply chain for the production of natural gas, the liquefaction process is regarded as having the highest energy consumption and expense. This analysis demonstrates how this procedure may be made substantially more efficient while using less energy overall. The productivity of liquefied natural gas can be increased with the smallest improvement in design optimisation, which increases the process' economic viability. The liquefaction process is further optimised by algorithms that are proved to boost the liquefied natural gas plant's energy efficiency. This overview provides information on the modelling techniques researchers have employed, identifies any knowledge gaps, and offers some crucial suggestions for improving the natural gas liquefaction process when using various simulation tools.
