Year: 2023
Type: conference-abstract
Abstract: To explore the effects of psychological interventions on pregnancy rates, mental health, and quality of life in infertile patients. The PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library databases were explored from their inception until November 11, 2022.Two researchers independently screened, extracted, and evaluated the literature after the search. Stata15.0 was used for network meta-analysis. A total of 69 randomised controlled trials of 13 psychological interventions were included in the final analysis. The total sample size was 7327. The Internet is the most effective intervention to improve pregnancy rate, cognitive behavioural therapy was best for treating depression and improving quality of life. Mindfulness was the best method for reducing anxiety, and counselling was the best alternative for stress reduction. The results of subgroup analysis showed that psychoeducational intervention was the best choice to improve pregnancy rate and reduce anxiety, and laughter therapy was the best alternative to combat depression when the intervention time was ≤4 weeks. Counselling was the best option for combating stress. When the intervention duration was more than 4 weeks, mindfulness was an effective intervention measure to combat stress. The other outcomes were consistent with the network meta-analysis results. Psychological intervention can improve pregnancy rate and psychological condition effectively. Healthcare professionals should be encouraged to apply these psychological interventions patients with infertility during routine care.
