Abstract: Mfn2 depletion upregulates cytosolic Ca2+ in mouse fibroblast cells, leading to RhoA and nonmuscle myosin II overactivation and a prominent peripheral actin band structure, which is dependent on the contractile force on the cell–substrate interface.
