Abstract: This study takes a literary studies and urban sociological perspective to examine poetry that can be seen or heard in urban spaces. The spectrum is extremely broad, ranging from wall poetry to projections of poetry on representative buildings to informal actions by poets or residents claiming their "right to the city" (H. Lefebvre) by displaying poetry in parks or subways.
