Abstract: The paper presents a selection of the best automatic rifles of domestic production. The complexity of the problem is conditioned by the different constructional characteristics of automatic rifles, which is why the application of multi-criteria decision-making methods is necessary. The choice of the most favorable alternative was made using the AHP-VIKOR method. By applying the AHP method, the calculation of the weight coefficients of the criteria was performed, while by applying the VIKOR method, the most favorable automatic rifle was selected. The output is a proposal for the introduction into operational use and equipping of the security forces of the Republic of Serbia. .
