Abstract: Controlled Protein Delivery Article 2300793 by Marian H. Hettiaratchi and co-workers presents an innovative strategy for controlling the delivery of bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2) using affinity interactions with BMP-2-specific affibody proteins that are discovered using directed evolution. Two unique affibodies that are predicted to bind to different sites on BMP-2 are used to tune BMP-2 release from a hydrogel and modulate its osteogenic activity.
