Abstract: The purpose of this research is to investigate how work motivation influences employee performance, by considering compensation as a moderating factor. A qualitative approach with a causal design is defined in this study and implemented at PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk Pupuan Unit. As this study aimed to cover the entire population, the sample size consisted of 40 individuals. The questionnaire was used as an instrument in data collection with the data analysis technique in the form of moderated regression analysis (MRA). The results obtained show that: (1) work motivation influences employee performance positively and substantially, and (2) compensation plays a positive and substantial role in moderating the relationship between work motivation and employee performance.
