Abstract: To the Editor: Skin diseases are one of the leading causes of disability worldwide.1 While hospitalizations for dermatologic conditions have decreased over the past decades due to various factors, severe and refractory dermatologic diseases may still require hospitalization.2 We aim to highlight the characteristics of patients admitted to the dermatologist-led service at the University of Miami Hospital, a 564-bed hospital serving a catchment of approximately 2.7 million people.
