Monitoring Melanoma Responses to STING Agonism and Focused Ultrasound Thermal Ablation Using Microneedles and Ultrasensitive Single Molecule Arrays (Adv. Funct. Mater. 50/2023)
Year: 2023
Type: article
Abstract: Ultrasensitive Single Molecule Arrays In article number 2301659, Natalie Artzi and co-workers show that engineered polymeric microneedles enable sampling of biomarkers in skin interstitial fluid in response to melanoma treatment with combination immunoablative therapy—focused ultrasound thermal ablation and nanoparticulate stimulator of interferon genes agonism. Subsequent microneedle-derived biomarker processing via ultrasensitive single-molecule arrays afford effective detection of proinflammatory biomarkers in the femtomolar range.
