Abstract: This study aims to address several key issues, including the definition of the Mosul dialect, its origins, and linguistic sources, as well as its impact on other Iraqi dialects. The Mosul dialect is characterized by a distinct phonetic pronunciation that differs significantly from other Iraqi dialects, which has led to its influence on those dialects due to the transfer of phonetic elements. Additionally, the Mosul dialect has clearly been influenced by the use of numerous words derived from other dialects and languages. The Turkish language stands out as one of the languages that has had a significant impact on the Mosul dialect. This influence reflects the relationships and connections that link Iraqi dialects with each other and with ancient Arabic dialects. These influences are partly attributed to the geographical proximity of Mosul to Turkey and other neighboring countries, including the Persian language. In this context, this research deals with the impact of the cultural mix of Turkish, Arabic, and Persian cultures on the Mosul dialect and analyzes the results from both phonetic and semantic perspectives. Furthermore, it highlights the social and cultural effects of these semantic approaches and their influence on thought and urban interaction between the Turkish language, the Persian language, and the Mosul dialect. This research specifically focuses on studying the linguistic and semantic convergence between the Turkish language and the Mosul dialect, through analyzing the Mosul dialect at multiple levels, including phonetic and semantic levels. Overall, this research demonstrates how language can serve as a means of communication and cultural interaction among different communities, with a particular emphasis on the prominent role played by the Mosul dialect and the influence of the Turkish language.
