Fabrication and Characterization of a Thermoelectric Generator with High Aspect Ratio Thermolegs for Electrically Active Implants (Adv. Mater. Technol. 1/2024)
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Implantable Thermoelectric Generators This cover describes the mechanism of a packaged thermoelectric generator (TEG) implanted in the fat layer of human body for thermal energy harvesting and power generation. The disc-shaped device consists of a polymer housing, two metal contacts, and a TEG. Thanks to the package design and TEG optimization, the heat flow around the TEG is concentrated, which improves TEG performance. More detail can be found in article 2301157 by Yongchen Rao, Dennis Hohlfeld, and co-workers.
