Abstract: المستخـلص:- هدف البحث إلى معرفة الفروق في الاستخدام المفرط لمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي في ضوء المتغيرات الديموجرافية (النوع, ومحل الاقامة), والاكاديمية (الفرقة الدراسية، والتخصص) لدى طلبة الجامعة، تمثلت العينة في البحث من (190) طالب وطالبة،وعمرهم من18 الى23 سنه، واستخدم الباحثون اداة مقياس الاستخدام المفرط لمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي(اعداد الباحثون)، وقد اظهرت نتائج الدراسة الى وجود فروق فى الاستخدام المفرط لمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي لصالح الذكور، وكذلك وجود فروق لصالح التخصص العلمي، كما جاءت الفروق بالنسبة لمحل الاقامة لصالح الحضر، بينما جاءت الفروق لصالح الفرقة الدراسية الاولى. الكلمات المفتاحية: الاستخدام المفرط لمواقع التواصل، المتغيرات الديموجرافية والاكاديمية. Abstract The research aimed to find out the differences in the excessive use of social networking sites in light of demographic variables (gender, place of residence), and academic (study band, specialization) among university students, the sample was represented in the research of (190) male and female students, and their age from 18 to 23 years, and the researchers used the tool to measure the excessive use of social networking sites (prepared by researchers), The results of the study showed that there are differences in the excessive use of social networking sites in favor of males, as well as differences in favor of scientific specialization, and the differences for the place of residence came in favor of urban areas, while the differences came in favor of the first academic year.
