Abstract: Cultural organizations have been planning to expand their audience by exposing digital content services through the world wide web during the latest years and especially after the manifestation of the recent pandemic. The literature is abundant in studies presenting a range of interesting topics such as new virtual Museums cases, methods for digitization, models for assessing user engagement and how it can be increased with digital content and virtual content. But even if the need to expand their audience through digital means has grown, there is little documentation for cases such as smaller museums or institutions just beginning to deploy digital services, let alone for University Museums. This paper presents how the Museum of Medicine in the University of Crete has been planning to build digital content and fundamental digital services in order to offer interesting digital experiences for its visitors.
