Abstract: مُلخص البحثيتناول البحث السمات الفنية لتابوتن خشبيين بغطاء جمالوني تم العثور عليهما في المقبرة رقم LXVI بجبانة البجوات المسيحية في الواحات الخارجة المصرية بواسطة بعثة متحف المتروبوليتان للفن سنة 1930 - 1931 ، وهما على عكس باقي مقابر البجوات المسيحية - لأشخاص رومانية وثنية ويعودا إلى الع ر الروماني، حيث يتناول البحث وصف لتلك التوابيت والزخارف التي ظهرت عليها م ا يسلط الضوء عى العادات الاجتماعية والتقاليد الدينية وعادات الدفن المتبعة في الواحات الخارجة خلال تلك الفترة. AbstractThe article discusses the artistic features of two wooden sarcophagi, shaped like a box with a gabled cover. These sarcophagi were discovered in tomb No. LXVI of the Christian Begawat Necropolis in the Egyptian Kharga Oasis by the Metropolitan Museum of Art mission between 1930 and 1931. They are different from the other Christian Begawattombs, as they belong to pagan Romans and date back to the Roman Period. The article provides a detailed description of these coffins and their decorations, which offer insights into the social customs, religious traditions, and burial practices that were followed in Kharga Oasis during that period.
