P517: Patient and clinician perspectives on a digital health platform for the longitudinal management of genetic cancer predisposition

Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Cancer genetic testing is increasingly being integrated into care for young adults (YAs). With an ever-expanding set of pathogenic variants (PVs), each with their own clinical implications, information management for patients with genetic cancer predisposition and their clinicians is becoming increasingly challenging. Young adults with PVs require screening for various cancers as well as consideration of implications for family planning. Current practice is lacking in a streamlined, accessible system to ensure that patients and their clinicians have access to continuously updated information relevant to PVs.
