Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The Clinical Genome Resource (ClinGen) is a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded effort (launched in 2013) to create a central resource of clinically relevant genes and variants for use in precision medicine and research. ClinGen relies on a large international network of participants such as clinicians, laboratory staff, and researchers to systematically evaluate genes and variants across multiple domains. As of November 2023, ClinGen includes over 2300 participants from 874 institutions in 65 countries.
