Abstract: This study aimed at identifying the levels of anxiety among football referees in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia among a sample of referees, in addition to studying the differences in the levels of anxiety among the study sample according to the variables of age, training experience, and referee grade. The study sample consisted of (78) referees who were selected using a simple random method from the total study population. The researcher used the descriptive approach using a survey as method to collect study data by applying the sports competition anxiety scale. The most prominent results of the study indicated that selfconfidence dimension came in first place, with a mean of (3.54 out of 4), which indicates that the level of self-confidence among football referees in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was very high, while the cognitive anxiety dimension came in second place, with a mean of (1.89 out of 4), and this indicates that the level of cognitive anxiety among the study sample was moderate. The results of the study also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the levels of anxiety depending on the variables of the study.Based on the results of the study, the researcher recommends that those responsible for preparing football referees in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia should pay attention to the scientific and practical programs provided to them to ensure that they continue with high levels of performance in leading sports competitions.
