Abstract: This paper demonstrates how digital documentation projects support engagement, analysis and interpretation of the reconstruction of Notre Dame de Paris, as well as demonstrating the underpinning processes by which the documentation itself is generated and managed. The digital documentation project is the scientific website which forms a digital ecosystem to support the reconstruction project, the reuse of the datasets is analysed in the original heritage discipline and across other disciplines by the OAIS reference model. Then, critically consider the main challenges to be for this project and how they are addressed.
