Wcn24-931 Aki Phenotypes in Ugandan Children Hospitalized With Hypoxemia and Malaria
Year: 2024
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a frequent life-threatening complication in hospitalized children. Emerging data suggest AKI is a heterogeneous condition that varies based on the underlying cause and is composed of distinct phenotypes. The objective of this study was to define AKI phenotypes using proposed classification systems in Ugandan children hospitalized with hypoxemia and to evaluate differences in phenotypes by malaria infection.
