Intravenous immunoglobulin-induced eczematous dermatitis treated with dupilumab
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) therapy is an effective treatment for immunodeficiency and autoimmune diseases. IVIG is well tolerated, with the most common adverse reaction being a transient flu-like illness. Rarely, severe adverse effects such as renal impairment and aseptic meningitis can occur. Adverse dermatological reactions are uncommon, with a reported incidence of 6%, which include urticaria, maculopapular rash, and desquamation.1 Rare cases of IVIG-associated eczematous reactions have also been reported in the literature.
