Análise Espaço-temporal De Lesões Autoprovocadas Em Adolescentes No Amazonas No Período De 2017 a 2022

Year: 2024
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: This study analyzes the spatio-temporal distribution of self-injury in adolescents aged 10 to 19 years in the state of Amazonas from 2017 to 2022 using secondary data from compulsory notification forms from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN, acronym in Portuguese). In the analysis of association between variables, the negative binomial regression model with a municipal random effect was used, considering the count of reported cases as an observed variable. Additionally, to evaluate the temporal and spatial evolution of self-injury rates in adolescents, thematic maps were created and to identify patterns of spatial dependence between municipalities, the Global and Local Moran indices were used. 1242 notification records were identified during the study, highlighting male sex as a protective factor compared to female, while brown race/color proved to be a risk factor in relation to the others, except for indigenous race/color, which showed no significant difference (5% significance level). There was an increase in self-injury rates from 2017 to 2022, with peaks in 2019 and 2022, particularly in the Alto Solimões region, maintaining high rates. Other prominent areas include the Triângulo, Madeira River, Juruá, especially Humaitá, with a rate of 34.38 in 2019.
