Abstract: In 2021, 41.4% of students enrolled in higher education in Brazilwere enrolled in e-learning courses. Of this contingent, manystudents have some visual impairment. Considering that in elearning,Information Technology is the protagonist in supportingeducational processes through Virtual Learning Environments, it isessential that this technology be inclusive, allowing access to userswith some type of disability, and providing accessibility in thedigital environment. This work presents the accessibilityassessment in the SENAI Virtual Learning Environment, carriedout by users with visual impairments. An evaluation methodologyfor accessibility tests was proposed, which included two stages: (i)automatic evaluation carried out by inspection tools that evaluatethe source code, and (ii) carrying out manual tests, with the visuallyimpaired, guided by a test script based on the eMag manualassessment checklist for the visually impaired (ElectronicGovernment Accessibility Model). The results of the automatic andmanual evaluation tests indicated that the problems highlighted bythe inspection tools were also noticed by users with visualimpairments, as well as problems related to usability wereidentified in the manual test stage. In this way, it was possible topoint out problems and make recommendations based on eMag.The contributions of this work were the detection and improvementof the virtual environment
