Abstract: A 4-year-old girl presented with a recurring eruption that involved her face, ears, the back of her neck, and dorsal aspect of both hands over a 1-year period. The eruption began as erythema and swelling and was painful. The rash remained painful and progressed to blistering over a 24-h period and the lesions would then crust and heal, leaving scars (Figures 123).She was systemically well during these episodes. She had a history of eczema and was otherwise healthy. There was no family history of a similar condition.
