Abstract: Recommendations I n the past month I attended two conferences that differed substantially in size and format: the World Biomaterials Congress (WBC) in Daegu, South Korea, and the Porous Semiconductors Science and Technology (PSST) Conference in Brno, Czech Republic.The WBC is a huge meeting, with more than 4,000 attendees this year and 14 parallel speaker tracks.The PSST ran in a single track, with only about 120 participants.At the WBC I ran into one of my colleagues from UC San Diego, Ester Kwon, and we chatted about the
